Tea Bag Folding Instructions for Layered Star

Return to Teabag Menu Page

This tea bag medallion is thicker than most and makes a good gift topper, especially when made using paper with color or a pattern on both sides. Add a flower or a rhinestone to the center as an extra embellishment.

Instructions
fold 4 ways

Fold diagonally, horizontally and vertically.

tile folded in half

Fold diagonally to form a triangle. Grasp the left and right sides and push them toward the center so that the center is pushed out on both sides. The fold should resemble an "X" when you look straight down at it.

Hold the tile so that one of the flaps is pointing straight up.

Flatten the flap to form a kite shape. Flip the tile over and repeat on the opposite side.

Fold eight tile the same way.

Slide the tiles together and glue them in place.

The completed medallion should look like this. Note that because of the layers, this is a "chunky" mediallion. It will stand out from the card or page.
